Monday Update-Hate, 10/29/2012

Greetings, minions.
I would like to start off this update, by briefly talking about what an  unequivocal piece of shit last night's (and WWE's) "Hell in the Cell" pay per view was. In a wrestling promotion, you must have a MacGuffin for all of the wrestlers to chase... In fact, successful promotions have several: Title belts. The most important, of all of these MacGuffiins, is the World/Heavyweight title... And you do everything in your power to protect the prestige of that title, otherwise it isn't worth jack-shit. If your top guy is a piece of shit, then the belt he holds is a piece of shit. If this piece of shit is the best we're going to see, then why are we watching in the first place? See what I am saying?

So, why would they book their champion (CM Punk) to look like an absolute coward? Granted, CM Punk is wrestling as a heel (villain), but he is also working under the idea that he is "The Best in the World". Ryback, the contender, has been working his way up the feud-chain (see what I did there?), by squashing jobbers left and right, several times a week. This pseudo-erudite Bill Goldberg clone has been walking through the weakest wrestlers that the roster has to offer, and has no business being in a world title match... At least, that is the argument that CM Punk should have been making. Where is the contendership qualifying match? And why in the blue hell would they book a man that believes he is the best in the world (and has the gold to back it up), cower from a guy that has only beaten nobodies?
Who writes this shit?

Anyhow, my spite and vitriolic ranting aside, I am going to run the comment contest on the last post for one more week. There will be two winners. Get in, get heard, get prizes.

Also, we should have some rad shit to show you guys very soon. I have personally been working my fingers to the bone on a multitude of new sculpts. There are new Universe of Violence figures coming up the pike (including Hell Turtle!!), new Gorewads, and a whole new concept that Eric and I think you guys will dig... And we're also working on a figure concept that will tilt the LRG (little rubber guys) cartridge, and perhaps even change the game a little.

Stay tuned minions! The Iron Toy Cult is pressing forward... Taking over the world, one toy shelf at a time.

Progress Report! 10/24/12

So, it apears that I pulled an Eric Nilla, and went a whole week with no new updates. Oops! I have, in all fairness, been really busy. I'm going to show you what I can... But just like with the initial releases of Universe of Violence and Gorewad Monsters, you're getting a lot of smoke screens and odd info... But when the toys are ready to rock and roll, you'll know about it all in a hurry.

That being said, here's a brand new photo dump. I'd love to get your input. And, sunnovabitch, wouldn't you know it? I haven't run my contest for this month yet. I'm going to pick two commentors from this post, to send a color-swirled Universe of Violence figure.

Here goes nothing:

As you can see, I have a lot of irons in the fire. There's even more, but we'll get to that later. Let me know what you guys think!

Universe of Violence Wave 3 Voting: A @$!#ing TIE?

So, there was a tie, in the finish of the final round of UoV3 voting.

Minions, we cannot have this! We need a winner!
Special rules tie breaker!
Post your votes, as many as you care to, in this post's comment section for either Kobuto Bozu or Hyenaman.
At some random point today I'll call a stop to it and the last vote before I put an end to the vote, is the winner.

Go!

Halloween Crap

So, overtaken by the holiday spirit this weekend, I jammed this guy out in 10  total hours (5 hours Saturday night,  5 on Sunday), from the beginning design to finished product.
He is a monster made out of garbage, with a dead cat for an arm. Topping out at 1.5", he is slightly smaller than M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. I also did a .75" gravestone set companion. I kind of dig this spooky gimmick, so if you minions are with me on it, I might make some more. Who knows, maybe we'll even get Eric Nilla in on it, too.

Photo-Dump, 10-09-2010

Here's a little bit of a teaser, into some of the shit I have been working on.

You may recognize some of it, you might not... But you'll be hearing about all of this stuff sooner than later. Leave any questions in the comments section.

Monday Update-Hate, 10/01/2012

Greetings, minions!

So, I've been hard at work preparing new molds and shooting test casts to work out all venting issues...
I don't have a whole lot that I am ready to show you guys, just yet... But, keep posted, as developments can arise at any time. I am also almost finished with some new sculpts, and the final sketches of the Wave 3 Universe of Violence Bloodletting Deathmatch Tournament of Absolute Doom (haha) are on their way. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, check out my buddy Luke Harris' art toys HERE. He does a line called "Imperfecz", as well as some other art toy projects. His work has a playful-yet-grotesque quality, that fans of Gorewad Monsters will likely appreciate.

Also, check up on Eric Nilla's blog. He's got some neat shit coming up, and has pictures of some of his newest custom projects up right now.

Finally, start coming up with material now... As  at the end of the year, Ironhaus is hosting another Insult Contest. I'll be raising the stakes with the prizes, and only original insults will be counted. More on that later.

Time to go...
It's been fun though, right?
