Universe of Violence, Boss Figure #2: Elephunt

Welcome, mighty Horde!
The erratic Eric Nilla has finished his boss figure for the Universe of Violence line, and may I just say "Whoa."
Elephunt's his name, and he's not a playa though, he crushes a lot...
Elephunt stands at about 2" and is a tankish beast of a figure, and comes with a removable elephant helmet. He is very reminiscent of the wrestler Big Van Vader, albeit with a more barbarian flair to him. Eric really outdid himself this time, with all of the texturing. This is a bulky, phenomenal looking figure.

Not only does he come with the removable helmet accessory, but he comes with one of the exclusive Gorewad Monsters (in colors not offered with the Hell Turtle release).
Elephunt goes on sale February 1st, 2013, at 6:00pm PST, and is going to only set you back $16 for the whole package. Remember, fewer days in February... Get in and make sure you get this figure before March 1st! (Get your Universe of Violence fix HERE.)

End of Month Violence Party

Okay gang, contest winner announcement: King 100T! You're going to get a first casting of the first Ironhaus "Rommelverse" figure.  He's only missing his wristwatch and bunny slippers... But here's the first clear look at Scummo the Cat!
I'll be offering more news and options on the future "Rommelverse" offerings... But first, let's get our feet wet on this little dirty bastard. As I said, he is missing his slippers and watch... But you get the general idea. I haven't decided on whether he will come bagged/boarded or boxed... If you have an opinion, now would be the time to make note of it.

Also, Ironhaus gets a new look for 2013! Gone are the days of minions, here are the days of the Ironhaus Horde. You're all Jimmy Rommel Guys now. Time to take over.

50 in 2013

Quick update:

#1. My goal in 2013 is to have 50 different sculpts reach customers' hands in 2013. You read correctly, 50. It's the end of January, and I almost have ten sculpted. Stay tuned, minions.

#2. Very soon, Eric Nilla and I will announce the cutoff for 2012's UoV and Gorewad Monsters offerings. By soon, I mean within the week. Order what you need soon, because the 2013 IroNilla Campaign of Doom will be rolling along at full steam very soon.

#3. I'll be announcing the winner of January's contest on Friday. If you haven't gotten your post in on that thread, get it in now.

#4. Teaser pics!!! WHOOOOOOOO

I am Rommel. Your suffering is my music.

Hell Turtle World Tour

While my Horde of Iron Toy Cult Minions awaits the unveiling of the February Ironhaus figure, and the announcement of who won January's contest, I would like to present to you some pictures of Hell Turtle, taken by John Morey (founder of the AKIA/LRG).

My pictures have been notoriously shitty over the past year, meanwhile John has taken some AMAZING shots of some of the stuff that has come out of IroNilla in the past eight months.

Look:

Great work, John!

Also, check out the awesome pics that Frank K. at Little Weirdos Blog has taken. He's got some great shots of old Hell Turtle, as well as the Gorewads. Indy toy makers: These guys take better pictures than we do. Throw them some business.

2013's First Contest!

Howdy, minions!
So, late last night I did a post titled "Flash Post", with a teaser picture of  Ironhaus' first solo release (WIP).
First thing this morning, as you may have guessed, I yanked that post down.

You know how I am.
Anyways, the contest is simple... Post in the comments section below a description of what was in that picture. I will then use a number generator to randomly select the winner, who will receive the prize: A free "As of now mystery Ironhaus release figure".
That's all I am giving you for now, in the next couple of weeks, I will offer more information and pics of this piece.
As for when I will end the contest... Could be tomorrow, could be next week. I am not telling.

Does anybody have any idea what comes next?

Greetings, minions!
2013 has arrived, as has the new and improved Ironhaus. The IroNilla collaboration has kicked things off with the Hell Turtle release (get them while you can), and February will see the release of Eric Nilla's UoV Boss figure. Check with his blog, for updates and announcements on that. It's a beasty figure, and I know that I am looking forward to it.
As I said in the 2013 "State of the Iron" address, part of the appeal to changing up the release model was the opportunities that the schedule would afford Mr. Nilla and myself... That being said, what do YOU guys think is coming? What do YOU want to see?
I know in February, I have a thing or two planned. Folks following the Ironhaus Facebook page have already been given a slight glimpse into what I have in the works. I'd love to hear your opinions on what we've done, as well as where we're going... And just a reminder, I haven't announced a contest for January yet.... It may already be happening, and you don't even know it.

Exciting News and Changes

2012 saw the beginning of the IroNilla collaboration, as well as the introduction of the Universe of Violence and Gorewad Monsters toylines. We feel that we did some good in our freshman year, producing toys, but we also felt that we could have achieved more. We'd like to offer a wide variety of custom figures, and offer them as efficiently as we can. In order to do this, things have to change in some ways.
Universe of Violence figures are now going to be released as single figures. There will be opportunities to buy them as combo packs, but each figure will be released as a single figure with accessories. These accessories can be anything from companion figures, to helmets/armor, or even environmental details. We'll release one new figure a month, and we'll make as many figures as demand calls for... But when that month is over, the figure goes in the figurative vault to make way for the new figure. 2012 saw the release of six Universe of Violence figures... Under the new structure, 2012 will see the rise of twelve new figures, and a host of new accessories. Hell Turtle was the beginning, and in February Eric Nilla's UoV boss figure will be available. Stay tuned.

Gorewad Monsters first reared their ugly little heads in 2012, and in 2013 Ironhaus will be handling most of the load in concerns to the Gorewads. We have listened to the feedback on them, and future Gorewads will be more along the lines of disgusting and irreverent (GPK, Mini Boglins, etc). The micro wrestlers will still be produced, but they will be tied in with the Universe of Violence line.

As for all of what we have done in 2012, in order for us to charge forward with the new, we have to make room. Starting with the release of Eric Nilla's Boss UoV figure, the 2012 offerings from IroNilla will be pulled from the stores, and put into the "vault". If you wanted UoV or Gorewads from 2012, get them now. Starting next month, they will not be offered. Not to say that those figures will never see the light of day again, but we'll be more focused on progressing forward.

Also, the new structure will allow us to take part in other interesting collaborations with other great artists. Stay tuned for news on future collaborations, as well as more special release figures from Eric Nilla and Ironhaus, respectively. There will be something for everybody in 2013, and it will come fast. Be prepared.

Finally, we do take all feedback into consideration, so absolutely feel free to drop us a line, and let us know what you think. Hopefully, you all will be as excited about the new direction of things as we are.

Sincerely
Eric Nilla and Jimmy Rommel

Hell Turtle is live!

So, Hell Turtle went up for sale yesterday at 6:00pm PST. Go look HERE, for your Hell Turtle fix. I should also mention, that Hell Turtle comes with one of four exclusive Gorewad Monsters, as a bonus.
Get them, while the getting is good, because when we release Eric's Boss figure, Hell Turtle goes back in the vault.

There you go, minions! The first big release of 2013... And this is just the beginning of a bigger, better IroNilla collaboration.

Stay tuned.
