Gorewad Monsters: The Skinny

Hey, once again!
So, it has come to my attention that the amount of information that I have put out on the Gorewads, has not been clear. My apologies, and to rectify this:

Right now there is one pack of Gorewad Monsters, available at Eric Nilla (and my) Storenvy page. The first three sculpts come in a random variety of colors, and retail at $12 a pack (+Shipping).

Because of the strong welcome these have received, despite the fact that they were intended as a one-off project, Eric and I have decided to go full-bore with these; I released pictures of the latest seven sculpts that I have completed. Eric also has some in the works, and I also have more Gorewads in various states of completion.

We have not yet set a date for the new sculpts to be released, however it is important to mention that: For the initial release, all of the figures will be released in dedicated 3-packs. After the first month of the release, we're going to start packaging the 3-packs at random.

We didn't want to hose the folks that have already got in on these little bastards, so once we announce the release of the entire first wave, you'll have an opportunity to purchase character specific packs.
We'll also announce when we're going with the random assortments, as to not take anybody by surprise.
Right now, these can also be purchased at The Laughing Ogre comics shop, located at 4258 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43214.
Lots of random colors, lots of figures, and if you guys have any other questions about the line, just leave them in the comments on this post.

Time to go...
It's been fun though, right?

  1. Do the characters have specific names? So far I've just been calling them "Hammerhead guy", "Hippo guy", etc.

  2. I gave the first three short-hand names, just to identify them to Eric Nilla, but honestly, I figure that you guys own naming them, once you have them.
Is that something you all feel that you want? Dedicated names for the pieces?

  3. Either way works for me. I love making up names for nameless toys, but I have no problem honoring the names they're given if that's the case.

  4. Other than the way he's been referred to as Diet Hell Turtle frequently, the fact that you haven't made the effort to name these guys seems to point to me that they may not need any.

At least, not from you. Perhaps periodically assigning a sculpt a name could be a contest of some sort, whenever you're not in a Gorewad Insult sort of mood?

  5. I always liked them having a name and a back story as it gives them a personality to the figure as well.
