Am I going to miss 2012?

It was a strange year... Lots of bad, lots of good... Ultimately, I will be glad to see it go.

I'll spare you the details on the lousy stuff, but I do want to take this opportunity to thank everybody that has helped in making Ironhaus possible: Me.

Haha, seriously, though, I want to thank everybody that has supported the site through their opinions and comments. I want to thank Eric Nilla for his tireless contributions, and for putting up with my desire to talk business at three in the morning. I want to thank the crowd over at the LRG forums, Man E Toys for their coverage and interest in Ironhaus, Chad (from University of MUSCLE), and the gang over at MinifiguresXD, Sara Faust for graciously listening to every dumb-shit idea that I want to bounce off of her and Doc Jason Moore for not showing me his privates this year.

I'm going to make a concerted effort to be more diligent in delivering the news about our/my releases in the upcoming year... I do a decent job teasing stuff... And now that I will be producing on my own as well as collaborating with Master Caster (call him that, I dare you) Eric Nilla, so that news should be more frequent. We've got a lot of fun shit in store for you guys, some we weren't quite able to get out in time for the end of the year. Hell Turtle "drops" on New Year's Day (more on that HERE), and that is the beginning of IroNilla's sophomore year assault.

Thanks again, everybody! I appreciate your support, and I look forward to kicking 2013 in the balls with you.

Contest Winners, and News/Links

So, first, my apologies for not getting this post up yesterday... Weather conditions kept me from really doing a whole hell of a lot that I wanted to yesterday... However, I am here now to announce the winners of the somewhat underwhelming Year End Insult Contest. Too much holiday cheer, maybe?
The victor this time around is Leviathan Namahage.
Second place, goes to Luke Harris of l.designs, for his immediate compulsion to cannibalize the other contestants.   Get my your addresses, guys, and I'll get those prizes out in the mail.

Second, Little Weirdos blog did a write up on Gorewads series 2&3. I am actually glad that somebody is still getting a kick out of these... With most of my feedback being for the Universe of Violence line, it's good to get an idea of what people like and dislike about our other projects, as well. I'll be doing a full post about the Gorewad Monsters, and their future, sometime after New Year's. I will say this much though: Eric and I have discussed the two basic types of Gorewads, and we have a plan for addressing that.

Monday Update Hate, 12/17/2012

Greetings, minions!
So, a few pieces of news, a couple of opinions and then some "hey look at this stuff" links...

#1. Chad at The University of M.U.S.C.L.E.,  and Zectron chould be happy to hear that I have the whole camera issue fixed. Hopefully now, my photos won't have a blurry or ghastly quality to them. This is a good thing, because a few pieces I have been working on, are almost ready to show.

#2. Eric Nilla has got some neat shit going on over at his bloggus. He's been pumping out some neat Spiral Zone keshi boots, and between those and the new stuff from IroNilla, he's going to have some fun news very soon. Also, Eric, isn't it about time for a contest?

#3. Speaking of contests.... The Insult Contest is still running, and has lost a litte bit of steam. The contest runs to December 26th, so you should get in and try your hand... The winner will walk away with a FREE Hell Turtle figure, PLUS a thermal color-change Gorewad, and a Glow in the Dark Gorewad. I will also be sending out prizes for runner up. If the contest reaches 75 comments, I'll throw in prizes for 3rd and 4th place, too. I know Luke Harris (of Imperfecz Toys) has been itching for some competition, so give him an Ironhaus hello!

#4. WWE's TLC PPV was one of the overall best of the year... The Shield absolutely killed it. Do NOT sleep on these guys. If you're a wrestling fan, and miss Attitude Era style showmanship, you need to tune back in. Dean Ambrose, if I may be the 1,000,000 person to say it, is the next big deal player.

#5. Watch this. It's heartwarming.

Anyhow, that is all I have for today. As I start wrapping some things up, I'll be posting some photos of the stuff... And I will want some input on a solo deal I'll be putting out after the new year... So you can expect a contest based around that.

Contest Time: December Edition

Howdy, minions!
It's time, for December's contest, and I have held off on doing one of these for a while... And I have made the decision to only run this contest once a year from now on... And it will forevermore be the last contest of the year...

INSULT CONTEST 2012: End of the World Edition

 

 

The rules are pretty simple.

#1. Only original insults. I will be checking El Google to see if you guys are plagiarizing, because the whole point is to be creative and ridiculous.

#2. Absolutely no ephitaphs of any kind... Race, sexual orientation, religion, etc, etc. You can absolutely suggest beastiality though. I'm more prone to accusing folks of dendrophilia, but... Whatever.

#3. No repeating insults. This kind of goes along with rule #1... If you can't be bothered to read the insults before yours, then I can't be bothered to give you a prize.

#4. You must be a minion, for your insults to count. If you haven't joined, join up. Make your insults count.

 

 

I, along with two other judges will be picking the best insults. Post insults in the comments section of this thread.

 

Grand prize: One thermal color-change Gorewad, one glow-in-the-dark Gorewad, and a fresh off the press HELL TURTLE.

 

I'll also be picking a runner up, for prizes, as well. Contest runs until Christmas. I'll announce the victor on December 26, 2012.

Monday Update Hate, 12/3/2012

Greetings, minions... I have a brief update today, first announcing November's contest winner: Antonio! Congrats Antonio! I asked for honestly, and I certainly got it. You not only win some free customs, but you also hold the distinction of being the first ever back-to-back/two-time winner. Good on you, brother. I am doing another contest this month, that I'll announce this week and start next week...
After New Year's, we'll get to talking about a photo contest. I like the premise, and it should prove to be a lot of fun.

During the month of December, Eric Nilla is ensuring that every pack of Gorewads that goes out, has at least one glow-in-the-dark OR thermal color change figure included.
Normally, those serve as chase figures, but he wanted to do something a little extra for Christmas, so get your orders in to his Storenvy store, and get your gimmick figures.
